Deer hunting in Wolf Trap Woods/Wolf Den

Carrington’s board of directors has been informed by the Wolf Trap Woods Homes Association that again this winter it will allow deer hunting on its property by a single archer who is a resident of Wolf Den. According to the notice, “He will bowhunt at random times, often at first light, away from trails, in a treestand 18-20 feet above ground. He shoots downward within a measured 20-yard area, which allows him to clearly see his surroundings. People and pets will be in no danger. Everyone continues to have full use of the trails and woods.” This will occur a couple times a week at four approved locations and may continue through April, the end of archery season.

Since Carrington was developed, its board has allowed Wolf Trap Woods residents to use Carrington trails and the Wolf Trap Woods board has reciprocated. Each board retains control over its common ground and how it is used.
