Please see mailbox info on Architecture Modifications Review Page.

Q: Do I need a permit to put up a swing set?

Yes. Almost any permanent change to the outside of your house or yard requires approval by a committee of the homeowners association. If you’re in doubt, check first. You may download the form from this web site. Fill it out and make sure to get the signatures of at least your two nearest neighbors. Then submit it to the address on the form.

Q: What days does the garbage truck come?

Tuesdays and Fridays.  The recycling truck comes Fridays only. Yard debris is picked up on Wednesdays.  There will be no refuse or recycling collection on New Years Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day if they fall on a Tuesday and/or Friday.  The next pickup will be the next scheduled service day. Please take trash cans out no earlier than dusk on the day before collection, and remember that they must be stored in your garage or elsewhere out of public view.  Christmas Trees will be collected the first two Wednesdays in January.  Please remove all tinsel and decorations and leave nude trees at curb (not in plastic bags).

Q: Can I recycle my grass clippings? Or my Christmas tree?

Yes. A green waste truck comes each Wednesday in season. Watch for notices each January of Christmas tree pickups.

Q: Do all Carrington residents pay the same assessment?

Yes, and all have an equal vote in the association’s business. All owners may serve on Carrington’s board or committees.

Q: What’s going on with the Metro extension through Tysons Corner?

An alignment has been chosen. Preliminary engineering is underway. Financing has been obtained. Construction is due to start in 2009, service in 2011. For details: http://www.dullesmetro.com/about/overview.cfm
